Obituary Condolences

Roy C. Welch
Resident of San Jose
Passed away peacefully on Feb. 23, 2011 in San Jose at the age of 86. Born in Watsonville, CA. Enlisted in the Marines at 17, served in WWII in the South Pacific. Roy worked for the Telephone Company for 37 years. After retirement he worked for Orchard Supply for 15 years. Enjoyed golf, bowling, SF Giants, 49ers and building the family cabin in Lake Tahoe.
Roy was involved with the Crippled Children's Society, Chandler Tripp School, SIRS, Telephone Pioneers of America, Camp Costanoan and school PTA's.
A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather. Roy is survived by his wife of 62 years, Thelma, his children, Linda (Magnus), Susan (Charles), Steve, Alan, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at Oak Hill, Chapel of the Roses in San Jose on Monday February 28, 2011 at 2:00pm. For his Hospice care contributions in Roy's name may be made to Pathways Foundation, 585 N. Mary Ave, Sunnyvale, CA 94085
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Rest in Peace
