Resident of Carmel

April 24, 1912-Aug.29, 2011

Born and raised in Waterloo, Nebraska, Frances Andrews graduated high school with a class of 12, and earned a B. A. in English from Oberlin College.

Married in Detroit, Michigan to Richard "Dick" Andrews, they came to California and created the highly successful Industrial Tool and Supply in San Jose, California. Nicknamed "Om" and "Coxie" , Frances loved being a homemaker and also wrote, painted, marched for causes and traveled the world.

But to all who knew her, family, friends and any animal who crossed her lap, she was "mother" in the truest sense of the word. Loving, caring, our best critic, our best friend, and the anchor to our family, she is irreplaceable.

She died at age 99 in Carmel, California.

She is survived by, son, Peter, daughter, Pat, grandchildren, Lisa, Patricia and Tom, great grandchildren, Danielle, Jennifer, Stephanie, and great-great grandchildren, Faustino and Maribel. Family members Robert, Gisela and Jose.

Family can be reached at wvcpat@comcast.net. Donations can be made to Monterey County SPCA. http:// /memorials-honoraria.html.

Services will be held on 9/23 at 4 pm at the Stone Church of Willow Glen in San Jose with reception to follow.
