David Warren Johnson Obituary

David Warren

Johnson

Resident of Los Gatos

2/6/95 - 12/16/11

David Warren Johnson passed away unexpectedly on December 16th at the age of 16. Talented and courageous, he will forever be remembered as a remarkable young man who touched so many lives. David had the ability to make people laugh and smile in almost any situation. His joy for life was contagious, and the world is a lot less exciting with him gone.

An accomplished student and athlete, David achieved the rank of 2nd Dan at Studio Kicks in Los Gatos, where he spent many hours perfecting his forms, studying with his teachers, and friends and teaching new students the art of Tae Kwon Do. He loved playing the piano, and performing on stage.

David was a student at Leigh High School in San Jose, though he spent the past year attending middle college at West Valley College in Saratoga.

David is survived by his mother, Kathleen Sulgit, stepfather, Dennis Laczny and father, Mark Johnson. He will also be greatly missed by his grandparents (Frank & Joyce Sulgit, Jean Cardiff), aunts (Ann, Terri, Jan, Denise, Lorna), uncles (Steve, Brian, Kevin, Don, Eric, Wade, Phil), cousins (Steven, Robert, Liana, Jesse, Nick, Chris, Tim, Linsey, Craig, Chris, Jessica, Brett, Sarah, Jorah, Soleil), nieces (Deanna, Payton), nephews (Brenden, Brad Jr., Chase), stepsister Tina and stepbrother Brad, girlfriend, Chantelle and her family, and his many many friends, teammates, students and teachers.

A memorial service will be held on January 14th at 2pm at Calvary Church of Los Gatos, followed by a reception. David will be interred at the Los Gatos Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in David's name to Hospice of the Valley, SJ. www.hospicevalley.org.
