Roberta Robbins Obituary
Roberta Story Robbins Long-time Los Gatos resident Roberta Story Robbins passed away from this life Monday, October 8th, 2012. Born November 6, 1941 in Gooding, Idaho to Ralph and Olive Story, Roberta was wife to Herb Robbins D.D.S. and beloved mother of Mark, Heidi, Heather and Scott, devoted grandmother to Taite. Her nursing career began with caring for the very new and small and later to advocating for the health, comfort and dignity of the elderly and fragile. In an already full life Roberta became a student, teacher, artist, sister, devoted friend, semi-inadvertent world traveler, avid supporter of the performing arts and die-hard volunteer for many organizations including the Los Gatos Public School District, Special Olympics and Catholic charities. She had her hands on so many projects that we have not space or memory to untangle them all here. Roberta lived a remarkable life of family and service where little remains undone or unsaid. We are immensely proud of this exceptional and loving person and shall miss her always. A memorial service will be held at Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Los Gatos Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 11:00 AM. A rosary service will be held Friday, October 19, 7:00 PM at the same location. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donating to Special Olympics of Northern California in memory of Coach Roberta Robbins. http://www.sonc.org/
