Mildred Paganini Obituary
Mildred Florence Paganini
December 7, 1909 - November 21, 2012
Resident of San Jose
After a long and productive life of almost 103 years, Mildred entered into eternal rest on November 21, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Louis A. Paganini. Devoted daughter to the late Stephen and Mary (Arata) Baroni. Loving mother to Shirley Paganini Dorsa. Godmother to Yvonne Bonocorsi and Eleanor Corica. Blessed by many family and friends. Special thanks to her loving caregivers, May Fong and Lolita. Mildred was born on the ranch, a 2nd generation native of San Jose. She loved visiting her grandmother, Katie Rossi, where she learned all of her cooking skills. She and Louis later built their home on that ranch where she resided until her death. She was a fabulous cook, serving her famous raviolis on all the holidays. She worked hard in the orchards alongside Louis picking and loading fruit, driving trucks. Her flower, vegetable garden and animals gave her great joy. She won many prizes at the Fair for her dahlias and begonias. Mildred was a very loving, compassionate, strong and courageous woman with lots of spirit. She was beautiful both inside and out, always giving to everyone she met. She was totally devoted to her daughter. Although her mission and purpose on earth is now complete, her life, love and legacy remain within the hearts and lives of family, friends and all those she touched. Friends are invited to attend a Vigil Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 7:30 pm at LIMA-CAMPAGNA-ALAMEDA MISSION CHAPEL, 600 S. Second St. San Jose, Funeral Mass Friday, November 30, 2012 at 11 am at St. Victors Church, 3150 Sierra Road, San Jose with interment to follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, 490 Lincoln St. Santa Clara. Donations may be made to Santa Clara University or O'Connor Hospital Foundation.
