Alvis Caudle Obituary
Alvis Earl Caudle 2-17-1929 - 12-24-2012 Resident of Sunnyvale Earl (as he was known to family and friends) passed away peacefully at home after a 3 months battle with Leukemia. He worked at Westinghouse as a storekeeper. Earl was born in Moorewood, OK. and came to CA to work for the summer after one year of college. He liked CA and decided to stay and make it his home. After his retirement he continued to manage property and was active in that until he became ill. He was a rock hound and loved to travel with family and friends. Earl was a member of Crosswalk Community Church for 63 years and served on many boards and committee and as a deacon. He was preceded in death by his father Floyd, his Mother & Step-father, Ethel & Frank Harbison, his brother, Donald and his son Stephen Caudle. He is survived by his wife Alice, sons Mike, Chris, wife Sonja Caudle & stepson Shawn Konig, Cindy Mery (son Stephen's widow) & her son Dustin Mery, grandchildren, Saffron Caudle, Leair Caudle, Tawnya Long, Ashley Caudle, & Daniel Caudle, great-grandchildren Joseph Long, Isabella Long, Isaiah Long, Adrenna long, Isaac Long, and Matthew Roy. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Crosswalk Community Church, 445 South Mary Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086 at 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Crosswalk Community Church's Mission Fund or Vitas Hospice Care, 670 North McCarthy Blvd. Suite 220, Milpitas, CA 95035.
