Russell S. Braasch, 46, of Redwood City passed away Friday, August 2, 2013. He was born to David and Muriel Braasch, December 18, 1966 in Redwood City, California. Russell lived and thrived as a resident of Redwood City his entire life.
Russell graduated from Sequoia High School in 1985 and attended San Jose State University where he studied Political Science. His education, perseverance, and strong work ethic prepared him for his career as an E.A. CPA Tax & Compliance Advisor. He was the proud owner and president of Whitfield Business & Tax Services, Inc. in San Carlos.
Russell loved life and cherished his extended family and countless friends. He enjoyed every moment and was always willing and ready to help others. He was a great friend. Russell enjoyed traveling and seeing the world. His interests included Indy cars, Nascar, the 49ers, the San Francisco Giants, wine tasting, gold panning, Pan Am memorabilia, cars, and a love of animals and nature.
Russell is survived by his parents, David & Muriel, his brother John, nephews Royce, Bennett, & Tyler and his niece Hallie, as well as his aunts Linda Morales and Doris Fau and cousins Joseph Cinquini and Tina Cinquini. Russell is also survived by his beloved companion, his dog Sparky.
A celebration of Russell's life will be held at Crippen & Flynn Chapel in Redwood City on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the Braasch family requests that donations be made in Russell S. Braasch's name to the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA.
