Obituary Condolences

Austin "Ozzie" Ahern Sr. Obituary
Austin "Ozzie" Ahern, Sr.
April 12,1921-Oct. 23,2013
Resident of Santa Clara
Austin, 92, passed away suddenly surrounded by his family, after a very long and healthy life. Austin was preceded in death by his Loving wife Mary C. Ahern and grandson Ryan Coelho. He leaves behind his children Robert Ahern, Nancy Ahern Cano, Sharon Ahern and Austin Ahern, Jr., 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and the many Nephews and Nieces who knew him as "Uncle Tom". Austin was a WWII Navy Veteran, an avid baseball fan and player, loved fishing, camping, dancing, golfing and travelled every chance he got. Austin retired from United Airlines in 1985 after 34 years of loving his job. Austin was proud of his accomplishments in life and especially proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren - he bragged about them every chance he got! His family will miss afternoon coffee and Sunday morning breakfasts. Visitation will be Thurs. Oct. 31st from 6 to 9PM at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N Winchester Blvd. Funeral will be Fri. Nov. 1st at 10AM at St. Justin Parish, 2655 Homestead Rd. in Santa Clara. Internment will follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Disabled American Veteran's (www.dav.com) appreciated.
