Robert Blaine Maxwell died peacefully on Dec 24, 2013 in Sunnyvale. He was the son of Robert Benjamin Maxwell and Helen Dorothy (Avery), and was predeceased by his wife of 46 years Janice Melinda (Brown) Maxwell.
"Bob" was a lifelong resident of San Jose. He served in the
, spending 16 months in Korea, before returning and finishing his education at San Jose State University. He then spent 40 years as an equipment technician and supervisor at San Jose State University before retiring in 2000.
Bob enjoyed many activities throughout his life, including bonsai gardening, aviary care, doll house building, woodworking, and metalworking. He was also a flea market and garage sale hound, always keeping an eye out for the irresistible deal. His family and friends were often recipients of his prized "finds".
In recent years, he and his wife enjoyed the company of friends at various dining establishments they frequented. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Friends and family are invited to a luncheon to honor Bob, at 1 pm on Thursday Dec 30, 2014, at Hometown Buffet, 408 N. Capitol Ave, San Jose.
