Kim Gregory Seixas was born in Santa Monica, California on September 2, 1922 and died under the care of Hospice at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Palo Alto, California on January 19, 2014.
Kim is survived by his wife of 72 years, Patricia Anne Seixas; sister-in -law Ruth Sawyer; son Michael Lee Seixas, daughter -in-law Diana Monaghan-Seixas; and daughter Sally Nalani McKenna, son-in-law, James McKenna. Five Grandchildren and their spouses; Alson McKenna, Esq. and Jackie, Clea McKenna-Maestas and Ricky, Sean Seixas and Laurie, Jonathan Seixas and Jenna, Scott Seixas and Renee. Two step grandchildren and their spouses Patrick Monaghan and Beth, Matthew Monaghan and Debora. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren Jonathan Seixas, Jr., Alyssa Seixas, Ryan Seixas, Jordan Seixas and Caroline Grace Seixas; and six step great-grandchildren, Candice Monaghan, Roman Monaghan, Lauren Monaghan, Vaughn Monaghan, Susan Bailey Monaghan, and Joshua Monaghan.
Kim died a retired Commander in the United States Navy having served six years during World War II, and two years in the Korean Conflict and 15 years in the reserves. He was an active member of the Military Officers Association of America, Santa Cruz Chapter and a Gold Level member of the National Military Officers Association of America. Along with his military career Kim worked for Shell Air Company in Hawaii
A Memorial Celebration of his Life will take place on Friday, January 24, 2014 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Church 1522 McCoy Ave., San Jose, CA 95130 at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice and the Military Officers Association of America would be greatly appreciated.
