George T. Beuselinck

Saratoga - George T. Beuselinck, passed away on January 27, 2007.
Born on October 21, 1923 in Kewanee, Illinois he grew up as the youngest of three children. He loved his parents, Leon and Leona, who immigrated from Oedelem, Belgium. He grew up during the depression and served on a Navy minesweeper in the Mediterranean Sea during the invasion of Anzio, Italy within World War II. He was honored with the Purple Heart for his wounds received when his ship was attacked by a German aircraft. Upon returning from the war, he met his wife, Marie at a USO dance in San Jose, California. Three months later they were engaged and Marie and George were married in 1947. They settled in Saratoga in 1951, where they raised their eleven children. George worked for IBEW as an electrician for close to forty years. For over 55 years George was an active parishioner with Sacred Heart Church, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and usher. His life was full, surrounded by much love, laughter, joy and at times sadness. He will be remembered for his honesty, strength, courage, hard work, bravery, pride, love and support as a husband, parent, brother, friend and teacher too many.
As George has moved onto Heaven he joins his own son Leon, along with his grandson Robert, he also leaves on earth a proud family. He is eternally loved by his wife Marie, and their 10 children, 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. His son, George and wife, Connie; his son, Joe and wife, Denise; his son Paul and wife, Charlotte; his daughter Carol and her husband, Paul; his daughter Marie and her husband Tom; his daughter Pam and her husband Phillip; his son Jim; his daughter Margaret and husband, Mike; his daughter Barbara and husband Rick; his daughter Anna and her husband, Gary; his grandchildren - Michael, Joe Jr., Jacob, Jonathan, Veronika, Anna, Samantha, Doug, Ian, Diana, Christopher, Patrick, Joseph, Daniel, Travis, Courtney, Harrison and Faith and his great grandchildren - Joseph III, Riley, Olivia, Marley, Aidan and Kaleigh. He is also survived by his older brother, Al and dear friend, John Duffy.
Vigil service will be held on Tuesday, 1/30/07 at 7:00 p.m. at the Alameda Family Funeral Home, 12341 Saratoga - Sunnyvale Road, Saratoga, CA 95070.
Catholic mass will be held on Wednesday, 1/31/07 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart 13716 Saratoga Avenue, Saratoga, CA 95070.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to the Carmelite Monastery at 1000 Lincoln Street, Santa Clara, CA 95050.
