Janet Carlock(1941 - 2013)

Janet was born on April 4, 1941 in Weston, Idaho, the eighth of 9 children, to Clayton and Vesta Coburn. She died peacefully in her sleep at home on June 29, 2013.
Janet moved to the Ola area as a young girl. She attended school in Ola and Emmett, where she met her husband, Pat Carlock. They married February 1, 1958 in Ola. They had four children, Valerie, Blane, Robin and Brent.
Mom loved working on the ranch, gardening, her dog Calvin and spending time with her grandchildren. You could find mom on the back of the hay wagon wearing her warm red and white snowmobile helmet feeding the cows and tagging the calves or riding her horse in the forest moving cows. She always had a couple of grandkids tagging along. She had a knack for crocheting, making afghans and sweaters for all her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, three brothers and son Brent. She is survived by her husband, Pat Carlock, of 55 years; children, Valerie (Steve) McDermott Roe, Blane (Laura) Carlock and Robin (Mike) Rood, her brothers Joe, Clifford and Brad Coburn, sister-in-law Shirley (Staton) Barnes, seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Ola Cemetery in Ola, Idaho under the direction of the Potter Funeral Chapel of Emmett.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Pet Adoption League (PALS) of Emmett, 1526 N. Washington, Emmett, Idaho 83617.
