Juanita Mae Willey Ross Irving, 93, passed away of natural causes on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. She was born Nov. 28, 1919, in a two-story house on the Walla Walla River near Free Water, Ore., to John A. and Leanore (Ponton) Willey. This marriage was annulled and Leanore married Clifford W. Ross on Oct. 5, 1921, whom was the only father mom ever knew. She attended grade schools in Free Water and Emmett, Idaho.
On Sept. 25, 1937, she married George H. Irving. Unto them was born two sons. George Jr. and Robert Lee. They lived on and farmed land on West Idaho Boulevard for 45 years. Mom was the housekeeper and caretaker of two rowdy boys. She took care of the flower and vegetable gardens, fed many hay and threshing crews. They moved to town on Highway 52 in 1988 and mom continued housekeeping chores and some garden duties. She helped dad spread gladiolas bouquets throughout the community.
Juanita was a member of the Emmett Christian Church where she was a deaconess and secretary for many years.
Juanita is survived by her two sons, George Jr. (Jan) of Emmett and Robert Lee of Boise; three granddaughters, Shari, Treva and Amanda; two great-granddaughters, Danielle and Sophie; and one great-grandson, Mason all of Boise; two sisters, Betty (Doug) Powell of Cornville, Ariz. and Pat (Joe) Probstel of Stanfield Ore.; one brother, Leo (Rusty) Ross of Astoria Ore.; and several nieces and nephews; and several grand- nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband (George Sr.) of 68 years; parents; one sister; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett with interment at the Emmett Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Chapel.
