Karen Ann Nevers, 77, of Emmett, Idaho, passed away Oct. 5, 2013 at her home. She was born Aug. 10, 1936 in Emmett.
She was the only child of Helen Juanita Beck and Earl Rostock. As a young girl, she grew up and attended schools in Emmett. She lived with and was raised by her loving grandparents, Robert and Arminta Rostock.
She met and later married LaMarr H. Nevers on Aug. 21, 1952. They were married for 35 years.
She loved her family and enjoyed camping, painting, traveling and the lottery. She was also an avid reader.
Christmas was her favorite holiday, as she always went over the top with gifts and décor.
She is survived by her adult children, Kathy Oldham of Idaho City, Idaho, Debbie Corn (Mike) of Meridian, Idaho, Teresa Porath (Royce) of New Plymouth, Idaho and Dan Nevers (Joni) of Star, Idaho; along with 10 grandchildren, 18 ½ great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Heart and Home Hospice and also to Carleen Francis and Jean Smith at Sunset Manor.
A celebration of mom's life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, from 1 to 4 p.m. at The Heritage Place, 1475 Republic Lane in Emmett.
Services are under the direction of the Cremation Society of Idaho in Boise.
