Graveside service for Larry D. Potts, 66, of Emmett, Idaho, who died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, in Emmett, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at the Abundant Life International Fellowship Church in Emmett. Services are under the direction of the Potter Funeral Chapel, Emmett.
Larry was born on June 16, 1946, in Boise, Idaho, to Floyd and Betty Williams Potts. He was reared and educated in Boise and graduated from Boise High School in 1965. He was employed by the Boeing Company in Seattle for several years. He entered the U.S. Army
and served four years. Following his discharge he returned to Seattle and worked at Boeing.
Larry married Diana Graham in August of 1966. They were later divorced. Later he worked in the drywall business in Marysville, Wash. In 1977 he moved back to Boise where he continued in the construction trades. He attended college and graduated with a degree in computer technology. Larry did computer-related work for several years.
In 2000, he moved to Emmett. Larry enjoyed fishing, camping and he loved to tinker and could fix anything. He was a member of the Abundant Life International Fellowship Church. His church family was like his own family.
Larry is survived by his mother, Betty Potts of Emmett; his children, Brian (Jennifer) Potts of Emmett and Terri Torres of Boise; and grandchildren, Trisha, Ryan, Emily and Madelyn. He has one great-grandson Gabriel; a brother, Jerry (Jeanette) Potts of Arlington, Wash.; and a sister Judy (Leroy) Brown of Middleton, Idaho.
Larry was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Ronald.
