Marva Agnes Peebles, 94, of Mount Pleasant, Utah, died Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, in Provo, Utah, with her family at her side.
She was born March 27, 1919, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Irvin John Fresh and Margaret Pearl Browne. The family moved to Emmett, Idaho, when she was three years old. She married Earl Lindley Peebles on Dec. 29, 1941.
Agnes graduated from Emmett High School in 1937. She graduated from the Links Business School and worked as a secretary until her marriage. They then moved to Erie, Pa., where Earl worked for General Electric for 45 years while they raised their family. They spent three years in Brazil while Earl consulted on locomotive construction.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Charles Thompson and son and daughter-in-law, John and Carla Peebles; 11 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Shirley Maxfield.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
There will be a viewing at the Potter Funeral Chapel from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, with a graveside service to follow at Emmett Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Potter Funeral Chapel.
