Beverly Dee Contreras, 79, of Emmett, Idaho, went to home to be with our Heavenly Father Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013. She was born Sept. 5, 1933, to Dewitt and Leona Yates, the second of four children.
The Guest Book is expired.
Beverly lived in various places as her father was in construction but always called Emmett home. When Beverly was 17 she met the love of her life, Herbert Lewis. Soon after, they married and started a family. They lived in California until Herbert passed away Jan. 2, 1966. Beverly took her two girls and moved back to Emmett to be close to her family. They remained in Emmett for one and one-half years and moved back to California. However, in 1973 Beverly moved back to her home in Emmett where she spent the rest of her life.
She was active in the Southern Baptist Church and the community. Beverly worked at various places such as Gem Supply Co-op and Gem County Senior Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother and baby sister.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Huberta and Bob Bowlin; daughter and son-in-law Dee and David Andrew; sister Geraldine Schiller; and five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank her housekeeper, Lauri Stark, Serenity Living and Heart N' Home Hospice for all they have done for Beverly and her family. At Beverly's request there will be no services.
