Our family has a life-time of memories with David. I would like to share several of my favorite memories.
A favorite is of David laughing, joking with our children telling stories of his childhood.
When Ashley, our oldest daughter was young, David shaved off his beard. She sat on his lap, she touched his face smiling and laughing. She had never seen her dad without a beard.
Our son, Adam, often walked to the NAPA store to spend time with David. If our son would be missing, I would call David at work and sure enough Adam was with his dad.
David enjoyed playing memory games with our youngest daughter Amy. Often times he would pick her up from school and take her to a "father daughter" lunch.
A special memory is of David singing a line of "You've Got a Friend" by James Taylor to our children.
"Winter, spring, summer or fall, all you have to do is call and I'll be there, you've got a friend."
David enjoyed fishing and was an avid football fan. During the football season there was always a game to watch. His favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and BSU Broncos. He would be happy the Seahawks and Denver Broncos were in the playoffs. Go Seahawks!
David's greatest joy was spending time with his family. He is forever in our hearts and thoughts. He is greatly missed by his family and friends.
David is survived by his wife of 29 years, Jeanne Clinton; son Adam Clinton and his wife Lindsey; daughters Ashley and Amy Clinton; his parents Stanley and Martha Clinton; three brothers Darin (Mary), Dennis and Duke (Tasha) Clinton; one sister Debbie (Robert) Reyes; and Grandpa Gene, aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.
