Heinz H. Schiggel, 88, of Emmett, Idaho, passed away Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at his home in Emmett.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2012, at the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett. Burial will follow in the Emmett Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3 until 8 p.m. at the Chapel.
Heinz was born April 5, 1924, in Germany. In 1955, he came to the United States with his family. They moved from Portland, Ore. to Star, Idaho, in 1969. His wife, Annie passed away in 1980. On Dec. 4, 1982, he was married to Herta Landowske in Boise.
Heinz owned and operated Heinz Electric in Emmett for over 30 years. He served for years as a Priest in the New Apostolic Church.
Heinz was a loving husband and father and a kind and loving Opa to his grandchildren. Along with everything else he did, he enjoyed fishing whenever he could.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Kurt.
In addition to his wife, Herta of Emmett; he is survived by his children, Ingrid (John) McNeff of Eagle, Burkhart Schiggel of Nebraska, Heidi (James) Ruther of Nebraska, Edwin (Beth) Weich of California and David (Lisa) Weich of Nampa; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren. He will be in our hearts forever.
