James (Jim) Ivan Wright, 76, passed away on Nov. 29, 2013, at home surrounded by his family.

Jim was born in Saffordville, Kan., on Aug. 8, 1937, to William and Evelyn Wright. The family moved to Idaho in 1948. Jim graduated from Payette High School in 1955.
He married Carolyn Lucille Gibson on July 3, 1957, in Fruitland, Idaho and she passed away in November 1991.
He married Etta Wheeler on Oct. 1, 1996 and they spent 17 years of bliss together.
He spent his career as an engineer for the forest product industry. He worked for the Hoff Lumber/Boise Cascade mill in Horseshoe Bend, then the mill in Emmett, Idaho. He worked on many mills in the Northwest, Canada and as far south as Louisiana. He retired with Boise Cascade in April of 1999.
He is survived by his dear wife, Etta; two children, Colleen (Harold) Gunsaules, Boise, Idaho and Greg (Julie) Wright, Nampa, Idaho; two stepchildren, Debbie (Jeff) Katz, Middleton, Idaho and Wally (Laura) Wheeler, Emmett; a sister, Reta; two brothers, Vern (Jerri) and Kenny (Mary Lou); and nine grandchildren, three great-granddaughters, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, a sister and a great-granddaughter.
He will be missed and remembered for his "get 'er done" attitude and sense of humor.
A memorial service celebrating Jim's life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the
