Mae Marie Ross of Emmett, Idaho, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014.

Mae was born Oct. 8, 1919 to Clyde and Dora Phillips in Sweet, Idaho. Her childhood days were spent in Emmett, Sweet and Montour, with many summers living in the High Valley area, where her father was a logger.
Shortly after graduating from high school she married Hoyt Ross. They had a wonderful marriage living and working in Emmett, Boise and Mountain Home before returning to Emmett to farm. They had two children, Sharon and Jim.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt; her parents, Clyde and Dora; two brothers, Hardy Phillips and Harry Phillips; and one sister Ida Smith.
She leaves behind her two children and spouses, Sharon and Tom Campbell and Jim and Shirley Ross; six grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends she has made during her life.
Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett. Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Chapel. Interment will follow in the Emmett Cemetery.
