Joany McCall was born Feb. 16, 1944, in Emmett, Idaho, to parents Thomas and Evelyn Pitman.
Joany went to school and lived her entire life in Emmett. She enjoyed being with her husband and family, traveling, camping and smiling.
Joany is survived by her husband of 26 years, George McCall; son Loreny Ford and wife Wendy; daughter Ronnie Fisher and husband Kelly; son Jim McCall and wife Melissa; and son Dan McCall. She is also survived by grandchildren Shawn Ford, Kecia Martinez, Jacob Martinez, Seth Ford, Israel Fisher, Joany Mitchell, Lindsay Buck, Kelsie McCall and DJ McCall and several great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
As a wife: the best you could ask for and the love of a lifetime.
As a mother: she was second to none and a best friend.
Joany always wore a smile and her sense of humor was something to be treasured. The world was a better place because she was part of it.
Joany was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Evelyn Pitman; sister and brother-in-law Ruth and Irvin Wade, brother Donald Pitman, brother and sister-in-law Dallas and Scharlene Pitman.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, from 3-8 p.m. at the Potter Funeral Chapel, Emmett. The funeral service will be held Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Potter Chapel.
