Bert Drooger Jr., passed away in Emmett, Idaho, Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at home. He was born in Grand Rapids, Mich., to Bert Sr. and Elsie Drooger, second of 14 children.
He married Doris Rae McElroy on Sept. 2, 1948. They had two children, Peggy Lynn and Daniel Ray. He was a 1st Leutenant in the Army Air Corp during WWII flying B-17s. He worked as a lumber grader for Hoff Lumber Co., Boise Payette Lumber Co. and retired from Boise Cascade Lumber Co.
After retirement he had many good years doing his favorite past time – golfing with his buddies. He was a loving Grandpa who loved his grandkids and nothing made him happier than going to watch them play sports.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 19, 2014, at the Emmett Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a .
