Champ, Hannah  
Hannah Champ, 89, of Natick, formerly of Plymouth, passed away quietly at Mary Ann Morse with her family by her side on Thursday, January 22, 2015. She was born in Castlegregory, County Kerry, Ireland, the daughter of the late James and Ellen (Crowley) Gogarty. Hannah was raised and educated in Ireland before moving to London, England. There, she attended nursing school in Whipps Cross. She moved to the United States in 1948 and continued her nursing career, first settling in Somerville before eventually making her home in Plymouth and later Natick. Hannah was involved in politics and loved to dance. She went swimming every day and lived an independent life. Hannah was the loving wife of the late Joseph Champ. She was the mother of Joseph Champ of Ashby, Ellen Browne of SC, Siobhan Blackwell of MD and Ina Steiner of Natick. She is survived by her siblings, Teresa ODwyer of Ireland and Sr. DeLourdes Gogarty of Ireland. She was the adoring grandmother of 6 grandchildren - Kate, Seamus, Maggie, Jake, Carly, and Samuel, and three great-grandchildren - Amelia, Declan, and Violet. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews including Gene O'Shea and Jimmy O'Shea of Plymouth. She was preceded in death by her siblings Ina O'Shea, Harry Gogarty, Nell Keating, Mai Moriarty and Tony Gogarty. Funeral arrangements will be under the care of the Bartlett Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 25th from 1:00 | 3:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 26th at 9:00 am at St. Bonaventure Church, 803 State Road, Plymouth. Interment will immediately follow at Manomet Cemetery.

Chaves, Jose  
Jose Maria Chaves, 73, of Hudson, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Jan. 28th at Marlboro Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Maria F. (Tavares) Chaves of Hudson. Jose Maria was born and raised in Santa Maria, the Azores of Portugal, son of the late Antonio Chaves and Maria (Bairos) Carvalho. He has resided in Hudson since emigrating from Santa Maria in 1976. He was employed as a machinist for 32 years by the New England Tape Company of Hudson until retiring in 2008. He was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson and member of the Hudson Portuguese Club. Jose Maria was a loving husband and father. He loved and cherished his three adoring grandchildren and always looked forward to attending their many sporting activities. He will truly be missed by all. Besides his wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Aida Luz and her husband Nelson of Hudson, Noemia Duffy and her husband James of Marlboro and his three loving grandchildren, Michael and Miranda Luz of Hudson and Marissa Duffy of Marlboro. He is also survived by his three sisters, Celeste Fernandes and her husband Antonio of Canada, Deolinda Figuereido and her husband Agostino of Canada, Maria B. Braga and her husband Carlos of Hudson; his brother, Jaime Chaves and his wife Maria of Canada and his many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Maria Rosa Bairos and her late husband Guilhermo and son in-law of the late Manuel and Filomena Andrade. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, Feb. 2nd at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Sunday Feb. 1st from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 ( www.tighehamilton.com ).

Collins, Christopher  
Christopher "Chris" Collins, 29, died unexpectedly Saturday January 17, 2015. He was born in Framingham the son of Robert J. Collins of Stow and Donna (Soura) Collins of Marlborough and lived in Marlborough all of his life. Chris worked as a courier for A Alert Logistics in Marlborough and previously worked for his father as a mechanic at the Stow Service Center. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed both playing and watching many different sports, particularly the New England teams. Besides his parents he is survived by two sons, Easton Collins of Marlborough and Jacoby Collins of Leicester, three brothers; David Lizotte of Marlborough, Steven Lizotte of Nevada and Timothy Collins of CA, three sisters; Jennifer Collins of Leominster, Kathleen Bentle and Barbara Hernandez of CA, his maternal grandmother Dora Soura of Marlborough and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. His funeral will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home ( www.shortfuneral.com ), 95 West Main St. Marlborough. Burial will follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Marlborough. Visiting hours at the funeral will be held on Sunday afternoon from 1-4 p.m. In lieu flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Christoper R.
