George W. Sullivan

George W. Sullivan (Sully), 78, went to be with his Lord and savoir on Wednesday, May 28th. He passed away peacefully with his wife Hannelore and grandson Ryan by his side. A devoutly spiritual man, George spent the last moments of his life in prayer with Ryan. George was raised in Chelsea, MA by his father George Sr. and mother Catherine. He was preceded in death by his siblings John, Theresa and Patricia Roberts. After high school, George went to seminary in New Hampshire, then served in the Army. He was stationed in Iceland. He graduated from Boston University in 1960, and later had a long career in the insurance industry. He will be remembered for his superior intellect, his kind heart, his devotion to his heavenly father and sharing the gospel. George leaves behind his wife Hannelore and stepchildren Rick (and wife Judy) Fogarty, Lauren Fogarty, and Susan (and husband Mark) Silver, in addition to 5 grandchildren and one great-grandaughter. A funeral mass will be held at St. Bridget's Church in Framingham on Saturday, June 21 at 10am. Burial will be at a later date in the National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
