Joseph P. Costello, 90, passed away peacefully August 4, 2013 at St. Patrick's Manor in the comfort of his loving family. Mr. Costello was formerly of Dorchester, and a resident of Framingham for more than 50 years. In the last few years, he resided at Carmel Terrace and St. Patrick's Manor. The beloved husband of the late Marie H. (Darrigo) Costello who died in 2007, he was the loving son of the late Joseph P. and Anna (Clifford) Costello. He is survived by his children: Theresa Costello of Millbury, Luann Mossey of Marlboro, Joseph P. Costello and his wife Cheryl of Florida, Patricia Osborne and her husband Joel of Framingham, Kathleen Pasciuti and her husband John of Framingham. He also leaves 5 grandchildren: Tina, Victoria, Jennifer, J.J., and Erin; 2 step-grandchildren; Jessica and Adrienne; 5 great grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Dylan, Haley, Kayla and Kaylee; a brother Paul A. Costello and his wife Marie of Quincy. A graduate of Boston English High School with the class of 1941, he was a veteran of the 447th bomb group, 3rd Strategic Air Depot, 8th Air Force during World War II
and former tech/Sgt of 101 Fighting Squadron, 102nd Fighter Wing, Mass. Air National Guard and USAF reserve. He graduated from Northeastern University earning a B.B.A. degree with the class of 1953. He worked as a regional traffic representative for Ford Motor Company and retired from Data General Corp.'s corporate traffic division. He was a former trustee/president of Co-Op Trust, a former regional V.P. of Delta Nu Alpha Fraternity, a member of A.O.H. (Hibernians) Division 16 Marlboro and a life member of Framingham Elks Lodge
1264. Visiting hours are Wednesday Aug. 7 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Boyle Bros. Funeral Home, 173 Union Ave., Framingham. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday Aug. 8 at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Chapel in St. Patrick's Manor, 863 Central St., Framingham Centre.
