Veronica A. Keefe

Veronica Ronnie A. (Halley) Keefe, 85, of Framingham, died on Monday January 21, 2013 at the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham. She was the wife of John J. Keefe. They had been married for sixty-one years. Born in Framingham, daughter of the late William and Molly (Gormley) Halley , she was a graduate of Framingham High School, Class of 1944, Framingham Union Hospital School of Nursing in 1947, earned her RN certificate from Northeastern University and her Bachelors Degree from Framingham State College in 1996. Ronnie was a registered nurse for many years in the OR at the Framingham Union Hospital and then worked as a school nurse for the Framingham Public School Department. She was formally a longtime Eucharistic Minister at St. Bridgets Church in Framingham. She is survived by four sons; John J. Keefe Jr. and his wife Cynthia of Holliston, Joseph P. Keefe of Framingham, James M. Keefe and his wife Noelle of Framingham, Jerry Keefe and his wife Carol of Hopkinton, three daughters; Veronica A Evangelista and her husband William of Millis, Maureen Wessels and her husband James of Battle Ground, WA and Christine Keefe and her partner Julie Cordatos of Fitzwilliam, NH; one sister, Louise Bergeron of Southborough, 14 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by many brother and sisters. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday January 24, 2012 at 9:00 a.m in St. Georges Church, 74 School Street, Framingham (Saxonville). Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Burial will follow in St. Stephens Cemetery in Framingham. Calling hours at the Eugene J. McCarthy and Sons Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln Street, Framingham will be on Wednesday Janaury 23, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
