Moses Mohammed Khamis

Moses Mohammed Khamis, 36, of Hudson,died on Monday, August 4, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Tania DiDuca. Moses was born in Nairobi, Kenya and graduated from Northwood University in Texas before settling in Metrowest for the last 13 years. Moses worked at SMOC for many years and was always committed to helping anyone in need. A self- professed "social butterfly," he was active in a number of organizations in the area. Besides his wife, Moses is survived by his mother, Robina Bwita of Uganda, sister, Miriam Wanjohi and her husband Sam of Nairobi; sister Jamila Mohammed Duckworth of Switzerland; stepfather, Tony Duckworth of Nairobi; mother and father in-law Mark and Lucia DiDuca of Framingham, sister in law Estia Weyhing and her husband Neil of Baltimore, and brother in- law Franco DiDuca of Coral Gables. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles, friends and family in the U.S., Kenya, and Uganda. Visiting hours will be Monday, August 11th from 3-7 pm. at Eugene J. McCarthy and Sons Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., Framingham. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will take place at a later date in Africa. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Moses Mohammed may be made to the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center through the Katherine A. Gallagher Integrative Therapies Program.
