Albert J. Hatch age 89 of Lancaster formerly of Stow, May 13, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Virginia (Edwards) Hatch. Born on July 23, 1923 in Stow, he was the son of the late Albert D. and Blanche (Fuller-Nevers) Hatch. Mr. Hatch graduated from Hale High School in Stow and enlisted in the United States Navy 1941 during WWII. He was married in 1945. He returned home as Proud Purple Heart recipient in 1946. He w orked many years for the Town of Stow as the Highway Department Foreman, Captain of the Stow Fire Department, Crossing Guard at The Center School and Cemetery Superintendent. He enjoyed both fishing and hunting and was a long time member of the Maynard Rod & Gun Club and the Maynard Elks. He especially Enjoyed spending time with his family and he cherished his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was known to many as The Ole Geeza. He is survived by his children, Debra Traylor and her husband Dan of Lancaster and Albert J. Hatch Jr. and his wife Mary of Princeton. Also survived by 5 grandsons, 3 great-grandsons and his sister Audrey Gyles and her husband Ross of Arkansas.
