Arlyne K. Luloff Obituary
After a brief illness, Arlyne K. Luloff died peacefully at the age of 64 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover, N.H., surrounded by her husband Marty, son Greg, and daughter Joanna, on August 21, 2010. Following twenty-nine years of living in Southboro, Arlyne and Marty had relocated to Arlington, VT three years ago. She worked as a speech pathologist after graduating Phi Beta Kappa from George Washington University, and after completing a Masters degree at Emerson College and a PhD at Boston University. Over the course of her career, she was part of the staff at Boston Childrens Hospital, The Learning Center for Deaf Children in Framingham, MA, and Westboro Speech and Language Associates. She loved life and was enthusiastic about everything she took on; she loved being around people, hearing their stories, and always offered a compassionate ear to friends, family, and strangers alike. She was an avid knitter and enjoyed her monthly book group. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, son Greg, daughter Joanna, sister Mindy, daughter-in-law Erin, son-in-law Will, and her two grandsons Leo and Sam. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Bennington Early Childhood Center, Harwood Hill, Bennington, Vermont. A day of remembrance is planned for next spring at Arlyne and Martys home in Arlington.
