Brian R. Brown, age 64, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, formerly of Hudson, devoted husband of Linda L. (DeStefano), passed away at his home in Ann Arbor in the arms of his loving wife on January 23, 2013. He is also survived by his brother, Barry Brown and his wife Elizabeth of Hudson. Brian was born and raised in Hudson, son of the late William R. and Melba P. (Davis) Brown. He was a 1966 graduate of Hudson High School where Brian and Linda were high school sweethearts. They were married in Sudbury in 1971 after a six year courtship. Brian and Linda were never apart in all the years they were together and were completely devoted to each other. Brian loved life, learning and traveling. He fully enjoyed a good debate with people regardless of the topic. His education was broad, studying political sociology at several universities including Boston State, University of Boston, Harvard, University of California in Berkeley, University of Chicago, and the University of Michigan. Before turning his interest to investments, one of his articles, "Industrialism, Capitalism, Conflict, and Working-Class Contention in Lancashire, 1842" was published (1981) in a book edited by Louise and Charles Tilly, Class Conflict and Collective Action. A funeral service and celebration of Brian's life will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 30th at 11:00 a.m. in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (www.tighehamilton.com). Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Tuesday, Jan. 29th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
