Carmella Torti passed away on Thursday, November 28th at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, MA. Born on April 28, 1919 in Framingham, MA to Josephine and Vito Reppucci, Carmella was the eldest of five children. She married Michael Torti in 1943 and together they raised seven children in their home in Natick, MA. Carmella is survived by her children: Michael and his wife Helene, Ralph and his wife Rebecca, Victor and his wife Norma, Dianne and her husband David, JoAnne, Matthew and his wife Sherry, and Christopher and his wife Karen. Carmella leaves nineteen grand children, eight great grand children, her siblings Annette DeQuattro and Anthony Reppucci, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss her loving kindness. Carmella was devoted to her family, which was her passion throughout her life. Taking care of her family is what she was happiest doing, and her love for all children was apparent through her dedication to teaching CCD for many years for the St. Linus Parish of Natick, MA. Carmella's students returned year after year to thank her for her kindness and wisdom. Carmella was an avid reader and in 2005 wrote a memoir, Memoirs of Our Family. She was a competitive Scrabble enthusiast, loved cooking and making homemade pasta with her grandchildren, enjoyed the outdoors, walking, and especially appreciated sitting at a table surrounded by family and friends to enjoy a good meal. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Wednesday December 4 at 9:00 A.M. form the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, at Natick Common followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Patricks Church at 10:00 A.M. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.
