Eleanor Studley Obituary

Eleanor M. Studley Eleanor Studley Eleanor Marie (Peltier) Studley, 87, passed away Saturday, December 4th in California with family by her side. Born in Clinton, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Celina (Bodreau) Peltier. She is survived by her caring and loving husband Irving, to whom she was married for 64 years. She is also survived by her brother Roy Peltier, of Montgomery, Alabama. Besides her husband and brother, she leaves her six children - Beverly Collard of Twentynine Palms California, Joan Rainville of Lincoln, Rhode Island, Barbara Wood of Meredith, New Hampshire, Janet OLeary of Holliston, Massachusetts, Kenneth Studley of West Dennis, Massachusetts, and Lynne Barry of Cumberland, Rhode Island. Eleanor doted upon her 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A long time resident of Albion, Rhode Island, she and her husband owned and operated Studley Insurance Agency until 1981. While in Albion she raised her six children and was an avid member of the St. Ambrose Parish where she taught C.C.D. She was also a member of the Womens Auxilliary of the American Legion and enjoyed travelling with many good friends. She and her husband then retired to South Yarmouth, Massachusetts where she continued her volunteerism both at the Senior Center and at Saint Pius X Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Saint John Vianney Church in Cumberland, Rhode Island on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 10 am. A rosary will be said at 9:30 am prior to the funeral Mass. |
