George E. Hill Obituary
George E. Hill, 69, of Berlin, formerly from Marlboro, passed away on June 12, 2018 in Hospice Care at the Lutheran Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Worcester, MA. George was born in Framingham to the late Josephine (McHatton) Hill and Thomas H. Hill. He was the step-son of Frank Benny Pedato. He was a graduate of Marlborough High School, Class of 1966. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Army Corp of Engineers and served in Germany and Vietnam. Following his military service, he enjoyed working in many facets of the construction industry and became a journeyman carpenter (Local 475). Some of his larger construction projects included Assabet Valley Vocational High School, Raytheon Marlboro Plant, Digital Hudson and the Maynard Water & Sewer Treatment Facility. He also did work in remod eling and building additions. He also was employed for several years at Marlboro Tree Service. At the time of his death, George was Commander of AMVETS Post 1980 in Marlborough. He often said he couldnt do enough for my Vets. He was a member of Italian American War Veter ans, American Legion Post 132, Loyal Order of Moose and Fraternal Order of Eagles. A very social person, he loved all sports and had been an avid golfer. He is survived by his sister, Cheryl Aunes and her husband Lenny of Land O Lakes, FL, two nephews, Scott Aunes and wife Becky of Land O Lakes, Florida; David Hill of Marlboro and a niece, Tracy Chambers and husband Mike of Portland, Maine. He was predeceased by brothers Thomas H. Hill, Jr., Charles D. Hill, and step-broth ers Frank Pedato, Jr. and Robert Pedato. Graveside services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, June 23, 2018 in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough with military honors. The John P.
