Kurt Carlson III Obituary
Cpt. Kurt Carlson III, USAF, 31, Airman, son, brother and friend passed away unexpectedly on September 4, 2018. Kurt was born on October 20, 1987 the son of Kurt and Debra (Arrowsmith) Carlson Jr. at Hill AFB, Utah. He received his BA in Business Administration from Carolina University. Upon graduating in May 2011, he followed in his fathers footsteps and commissioned into the US Air Force where he served honorably until his death. The Air Force allowed Kurt to embrace his passion for life where he would do anything from sky diving to rafting down the Kenai River. He met many friends along the way from his motorcycle buddies in the Green Knights, to his softball crews throughout the country. Family was Kurts life and if he considered you a friend he considered you family. He will be remembered for his zest for life, his warrior spirit, his fearless curiosity, his athleticism and his unyielding love for New England Sports. Kurt is survived by his loving mother, Debra Carlson; father; Kurt Carlson Jr, MSgt, USAF Retired; sister, SSgt Natasha Carlson USAF and brother Cpt. Joshua Carlson USAF. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 2:30 PM in the John P. Rowe Funeral Home Inc., 57 Main Street, Marlboro, MA. Calling hours will be held prior to the Funeral Service from 1-2:30 also at the Funeral Home. Each person will have their own way to celebrate Kurts life.
