Obituary Condolences

Sister Margaret Ginty, CSJ (Sister Dorothea), a beloved member of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston for 77 years, died Saturday, August 31, 2013. Daughter of the late Anthony J. and Margaret T. (McGowan) Ginty and sister of the late Anne G. Cain and Thomas Ginty. Survived by her beloved sister, Sister Catherine Ginty, CSJ, and her loving nieces, Margaret Callahan and Nancy Lang, and their families. Formerly missioned as a teacher at St. Raphael School, Medford; Sacred Heart School, Roslindale; St. Catherine School, Norwood; St. John School, Canton; and Sacred Heart School, N. Quincy. Prior to teaching, Sister also served as a member of the staff at St. Raphael Hall, Newton; St. Joseph Manor, Dorchester; Walnut Park Convent, Newton; Bethany Convent, Framingham; St. Francis deSales Convent, Roxbury; Sisters of St. Joseph Motherhouse, Milton; and St. Joseph Convent, Lynn. Visiting hours at Holy Spirit Chapel, Bethany Health Care Center, 97 Bethany Road, Framingham, Thursday, September 5, 2013, 9:15-10:15 a.m. Prayer Service at 10:15 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass and Prayers of Final Commendation at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, Natick. Arrangements by Norton Funeral Home, Framingham. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Sisters of Saint Joseph, c/o Mission Advancement, 637 Cambridge St., Brighton, MA 02135.
