Matilda Eleanor H. (Allegrezza) Alluzio, 92, of Framingham, died Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at St. Patricks Manor, Framingham. She was the wife of 57 years to the late Gregory J. Alluzio who died in 2004. Born in Milford, she was the daughter of the late Settimio and Quirina (Baldelli) Allegrezza. She attended grammar school in Hopedale and was a graduate of Mendon High School, Class of 1938. She attended Framingham School of Nursing. During World War II, Mrs. Alluzio contributed to the war effort by working assembling rubber rafts for the U.S. Navy. After her marriage in 1947, she moved to Framingham and worked at Dennison Mfg. Co. for 7 years. She retired from the Framingham Public Schools Food Services in 1982. Her family served as the center of Mrs. Alluzios life. She took pleasure in cooking for her children and grandchildren. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed golfing, knitting and music. She sang in the Sacred Heart of Milford Church Choir for many years. As a retiree, she was a member of the Golden Rays of St. Tarcisius Church in Framingham. Generosity, Compassion, self-sacrifice and love were Matildas Legacy in making the world a better place. As her health and mobility declined, she continued to encourage and bless her family and friends. Mrs. Alluzio leaves behind her three children, Lynda Alluzio Baillie and her husband, Graham, of Milford; Melanie Leonard and her husband, William, of Shrewsbury; Richard Alluzio and his wife, Roberta, of Southborough; six grandchildren, Christopher and Allison Baillie; Brett Leonard and Alyssa, Michael and Nicholas Alluzio. She is also survived by her sister, Rosalba Domsky of Milford, her brother, Nello Allegrezza and his wife, Kathleen, of Falmouth; and many niece and nephews. She was the sister of the late Anthony and Aldo Allegrezza, Virginia Cervassi, and sister-in-law of the late Rosalie and Anthony Alluzio. Relatives and friends are invited to a time of visitation in the Chapel of St. Patricks Manor, 863 Central St., Framingham on Friday from 8:30 to 10 AM followed by her funeral Mass at 10 AM. Burial will be at St. Tarsicius Cemetery, Framingham. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Norton Funeral Home, Framingham.
