Mildred L. (Hallett) Fava, 79, a Maynard resident for over 60 years, died Sun., Aug. 17th, 2014 at her home after a brief illness. She and her husband, Albert A. Fava, celebrated with family and friends their 52nd wedding anniversary on July 1st. Born in Concord, MA and raised in Conway, NH, she was the oldest of 7 children of the late Crosby C. (Sr.) and Emily F. (Hartford) Hallett. The day after her graduation she moved to Maynard to work to help support her family, where she met her future husband. The Favas married in 1962 and lived in Maynard where they raised their son, John. Mrs. Fava is remembered for her caring and easy going personality. She centered her life around her family, especially enjoyed visits home to Conway. She also loved and appreciated the picturesque covered bridges of New England. Mrs. Fava is survived by her husband Albert A. Fava and son John M. Fava, both of Maynard; two sisters, Ruth Ann Johnson and Eileen Robinson, both of Conway, NH; two brothers, Crosby Sonny Hallett, Jr. of Franklin, MA and Donald Hallett of Conway, NH; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews and their families. She was the sister of the late Louise Sis Wiggin and Rita M. Cornish. Family and friends are invited to visiting hours Thurs. Aug. 21st from 4-8pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave (Rte 111) Acton. The funeral Mass will be celebrated Fri. Aug. 22nd at 9am in St. Bridgets Church, 1 Percival St., Maynard, with burial following in Glenwood Cemetery, Great Rd (Rte 117) Maynard. Those who wish may make memorial gifts to the
