Wayne B. Rogers, age 86, of Framingham, formerly of Newton, died, Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Kathleen Daniel Nursing Home, Framingham. He was the husband of 52 years to the late Helen M. (Mowbray) Rogers. Born in Brockton, he was the son of the late Charles and Edith (Regnell) Rogers. Mr. Rogers served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He boarded the destroyer USS Sutherland, DD743 and sailed from Boston Harbor to Toyko Bay. He worked as an accountant for the Amstar-Domino Sugar in Charlestown for over 25 years. Following his retirement he taught drivers education and was a school bus driver. He is survived by his children, Frederick B. Rogers of Framingham, Martha R. Fowler of Newport, RI; two grandchildren, Jacob H. Fowler of Stuart, FL and Harlee Elizabeth Fowler of Newport, RI. He is also survived by his sister Shirley Saunders of South Attleboro and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his visiting at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. Framingham, (Corner of Union Ave.), Framingham on Thursday from 5 | 8 PM.
