Warren H. Morse, Jr., 59, a former longtime Boxborough resident, died Thursday, June 19, 2014 at his Shirley home after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Lynn (Fuller) Morse. Born in Concord and raised in Boxborough, he was the son of Warren H. Morse, Sr. and the late Ann (Napolitano) Morse. He attended the Boxborough schools as well as Acton-Boxborough Regional High School. After college, he worked as a software engineer at IBM for many years. He was passionate about time spent with his large extended family and was affectionately known as "Uncle Dub" to his many nieces and nephews. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and reading. In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by 4 brothers and a sister and their families: Stephen Morse and friend Charlene of Maine, Brenda Nichols and husband Lance of Boxborough, David Morse and wife Joanne of Shirley, Scott Morse and wife Johanna of Stow, and Lee Morse and wife Lisa of Lunenburg. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and a large loving extended family. Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Tuesday, June 24th from 4:00-8:00pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave (Rte 111) Acton. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 25th at 10:30am at the funeral home, with burial following in South Cemetery, Burroughs Road, Boxborough.
