Ruth Charlotte (Abbott) Barlow, 88, a lifelong resident of Framingham, died Monday, August 11, 2014 at the Milford Regional Hospital. She was the wife of the late James E. Barlow who died in 1999. Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Frederick H. and Florence (Hemenway) Abbott, Sr. Mrs. Barlow worked for many years as a receptionist at Framingham State College. She is survived by her children, Thomas A. Barlow and his wife Susan of Worcester, Paul J. Barlow and his wife Kathy of Southboro, Joan M. McAnulty and her husband Frank of Franklin and Janet Thibeau and her husband Jim of West Newbury; seven grandchildren, Jamie and Justine McAnulty, Christopher, Rachel, Benjamin, Joshua and Laura Thibeau. She is also survived by her sister Phyllis M. Devine of Framingham, her sister-in-law Arlene Abbott of Holliston and many nieces, nephews, dear friends and pre-deceased by her other siblings. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Saturday, August 16, at 10 AM at the First Baptist Church, 1013 Worcester Road, Framingham. Burial will take place at a later date. Visiting hours at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St., (corner of Union Ave.), Framingham will be Friday from 5 | 7 PM.
