Michael R. Walker, 59, of Southborough died peacefully on Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Marlborough Hospital, surrounded by his family. Born in Framingham, he was the son of Rose (Salvati) Walker of Southborough and the late Robert L. Walker. Michael was developmentally delayed and attended Alternative Day Program for Personal Achievement in Hopedale. He had many friends and staff that took pleasure in all his many accomplishments. In addition to his mother he is survived by his sister, Patricia Johnson of Marlborough; two brothers, John Walker and his wife Kelle of Shrewsbury; Peter Walker of Royalston; a very special niece, Meghan Johnson and four nephews, Shawn and Jason Walker; Matthew Walker and Robert Walker; a devoted God-mother, Louise Mayer; his aunts, uncles and cousins. He is pre-deceased by his brother Robert L. Walker II, who passed away in November. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, March 22, from 5-8 p.m., at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Southborough (morrisfuneralparlor.com). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, March 23, at 10 a.m., at St. Matthew Church, Highland St. Southborough. Burial will follow in the Rural Cemetery, Southborough.
