Linda Fair Obituary
Linda Susan (Jewell) Fair, 62, of Framingham, passed away peacefully on August 8th at home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Framingham, daughter of the late Francis L. & Aldea (LaFleche) Jewell, Linda was a graduate of Marian High School & Aquinas College. Following college she worked at Keefe Tech as an administrative assistant for many years. Linda then took great pride in starting her family and devoted the rest of her life to raising her two beautiful daughters. She was active in her community and church as a Girl Scout leader, Eucharistic minister, and longtime friend of Bill W. Later in life Linda took great joy in jewelry making and spending quality time with her grandchildren. Linda was the beloved wife of Robert A. Fair with whom she shared 41 years of marriage. Devoted mother to Jessica J. Tierney & her husband Thomas of Framingham and Emily C. Horrigan & her husband Joe of Marlborough. Cherished sister of Ronald F. Jewell & his wife Janice of Framingham, Shawn M. Jewell of Mashpee, Sandra F. Reilly & her husband John of Framingham, and Judith M. LeDoux & her husband Raymond of Aptos, CA. Loving Memere to Emma & Addison Tierney and Tyler & Avery Horrigan. Linda also leaves behind many nieces & nephews and countless friends. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at 10am at St. Georges Church, 74 School St, Framingham (Saxonville). Burial will follow in Edgell Grove Cemetery in Framingham. Calling hours at the Eugene J. McCarthy & Sons Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St, Framingham, will be on Monday, August 13, 2012, from 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Linda may be made to support genitourinary cancer research at the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center, under the direction of Dr. Philip Saylor.
