Ann M. Beauks, 95, formerly of Marlborough, died Tuesday morning after a long period of failing health. She was born in Marlborough, the daughter of the late Antonio and Anna (Witkus) Beauks and lived in Marlborough most of her life until moving to Auburn and Webster the past few years. She was the companion of the late Al Dreven for over 50 years. Mrs. Beauks graduated from the former Worcester Trade School and went to work for the Norton Corp. for many years. She then went to work for the Fenwal Corp. as an assembler for 32 years, retiring in 1979. After her retirement she volunteered as a companion for the elderly for 11 years. She is survived by many nieces and nephews and was predeceased by four brothers; Joseph and Anthony Banks, Zida and Alexander Bauks, three sisters; Bernice McCormack, Elizabeth Strojny and Helen Tengstrand. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 9:00 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St. Marlborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Marlborough. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday from 7:30-8:30 a.m. at the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral. com), 95 West Main St. Marlborough. Mrs. Beauks family would like to offer their sincere thanks to the Lanessa Extended Care Center in Webster for all of the care shown to their aunt.
