Daniel Danny M. Hebert, 68, of Framingham, formerly of New Bedford, died peacefully early Thursday morning, September 5, 2013 in the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital, Bedford, after a long illness. Danny was born in Acushnet, MA, May 2, 1945, son of the late Arthur J. and Blanche (Dube) Hebert. He was a graduate of New Bedford High School, and proudly served his country during Vietnam as an MM3 with the United States Navy. Danny graduated from the New England School of Art and Design. He was a talented graphic artist and worked as art director for O.S.C. Corp of Brighton before starting his own firms, Designers Image and The General Store Art and Design, in Boston. Later he also worked for the Larkin group in Newton. Danny was always an avid photographer; he developed his own photos and had his own dark room. He loved cooking, and made a delicious pizza and chili. Danny was also very handy. He had great mechanical skills and could fix anything. Danny also enjoyed watching baseball and football. Danny is survived by his two daughters, Joanne H. Sarkar and her husband Ambar of Framingham, and Amanda Duke and her husband Brad of Upton; one brother; Ronald F. Hebert and his wife Marilyn of Tewksbury; two grandchildren, Suzanna M. Sarkar and Jack Duke; former wife of 20 years and beloved friend Judith A. Leonardo of Boston; and many nieces and nephews. Danny was predeceased by his first wife, Suzanne (Gauthier) Hebert in 1990; one sister, Jeannette Costa, in 2007; and five brothers: Arthur J. Hebert Jr in 1931, Theodore Hebert in 1995, Arthur J. Hebert Jr., in 2007, his twin brother Dennis W. Hebert in 2007, and Robert A. Hebert in 2009. Relatives and friends are planning to honor and celebrate Dannys life by gathering for his funeral service in the Aubertine-Lopes Funeral Home, 129 Allen St., New Bedford, MA on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 from 10-11AM. His funeral will follow in the funeral home beginning at 11AM. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Number 2 Cemetery, 559 Mount Pleasant St., New Bedford.
