Nolan, John Jay E. passed away on Saturday, July 12 at the age of 82. Jay would always say He would have been 83 but he was sick a year! Jay was the son of the late Martin and Mary Nolan of Cambridge, MA. A graduate of Rindge Technical School in Cambridge, Jay served in the Marines during the Korean War. An entertainer, Jay was one of the lead singers in the group The Top Dogs. He is survived by his children; Gary Martin Anthony Nolan, John E. Nolan Jr., and Stephen James Nolan all of Framingham, MA and Shannon Fitzgerald of Malden, MA. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Melissa Rose Nolan, Jack and Sophia Nolan, Jordan and Taylor Leavitt and Mattie and Courtney Fitzgerald. Jay was the father of the late Laura Mary Nolan and brother of the Late Frank Nolan,Irwin Nolan, Lorraine Finn and Barbara Benard. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28 from 11:00 to 1:00 PM at Morris, OConnor & Blute Funeral Home, 58 Long Pond Drive, South Yarmouth, MA. A Graveside Service with Honors will follow at 2:00 PM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
