BROWNIES CREEK — Quinilene Boatright Bates, 74, of Brownies Creek, KY passed away Friday, February 20, 2015. She was born on December 01, 1940 in Brownies Creek, KY., where she lived until she was grown. She lived in St. Mary's, OH and South Boston, VA where she worked at JP Stevens. She also worked at Dan River Fabrics in Danville, VA. She moved back to Brownies Creek in 1990. She was the daughter of the late James Suel and Bessie Thompson Boatright. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Boatright and her sister, Thelma Boatright. She is survived by the following members of her family: 2 Children: Donna Kay Meade of South Boston, VA and Thomas (Melissa) Bates of Burnsville, NC. Grandchildren: George Anthony Meade, Courtney Quin Conner and Angela Nicole Meade all of South Boston, VA. Great Grandchildren: Mason Meade, Kirsten Meade, Lindsey Conner, Jordan Conner and Sebastian Conner. Brother: Roger (Sharon) Boatright of Harrogate, TN. Sisters: Imogene (Jim) Brandenburg of Beattyville, KY, Vivian (Wendell) Mobley pf Celina, OH and Doris (Don) Jackson of Pineville, KY. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00p.m. Thursday, February 26, at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Eugene Wilder presiding. Due to weather conditions graveside services will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00p.m. Thursday, February 26, at the Creech Funeral Home.
