TAZEWELL, Tenn. — Larry Delbert McGeorge, 72 of Tazewell, TN, passed away Sunday, June 8, at the Claiborne County Hospital.
He was born January 4, 1942 in Hulen, KY, the son of the late Delbert and Nora Eldridge McGeorge.
He was a longtime member of the Blackmont Baptist Church where he faithfully served his church as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Song Leader and Janitor.
He had served his country honorably in the United States Air Force.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter: Karen Freeman, sisters: Mary Rieman and Katherine Anderson and an adopted brother: Larry McGeorge.
He is survived by the following members of his family:
Wife: Judy Steward McGeorge
4 Grandchildren: Jared Daniels, Cameron Daniels, Autumn Freeman and Scarlett Freeman.
Son-in-law: Freddy Freeman
1 Sister: Veda (Leonard) Miller
And a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at the Blackmont Baptist Church with the Rev. Freeman Clark and Rev. David Howard presiding. Music will be provided by Billy and Teresa Stewart. Interment will follow in the Tackett Hill Cemetery.
