SPEEDWELL, Tenn. — Lawanna Hendrickson Evans of Speedwell, Tn., age 64, went home March 10, 2014 from Baptist Health Center of Corbin, Ky.
She worked s a registered nurse. Lawanna believed in the Pentecostal faith and attended Laurel Hill Pentecostal Church in Pineville, Ky.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Hendrickson and Ester Mae Davis, sister Juanita Hendrickson, and grandson James David "J.D." Ervin.
She is survived by husband Victor Thomas Evans of Speedwell, Tn, daughter Waynetta (Allen) Leach of Speedwell, Tn., three sons, Jim (Hope) Ervin of New Tazewell, Tn., Delano (Cookie) Ervin of Harrogate, Tn., and Henry (Joyce) Ervin of Middlesboro, Ky., sister Henrietta Hendrickson of Corbin, Ky,, sister Zola Wilder of Corbin, Ky., special friend Crystal Ballew of Speedwell, Tn., seventeen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The funeral will be held at the O'Neil-Lawson Funeral Home in Corbin, Ky. on Thursday March 13, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. and burial will follow in the Campground Cemetery in Lilly, Ky. The visitation will be from 1:00 p.m until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The eulogy will be conducted by her great-nephew Scott Seiber Jr.
