William McGeorge

PINEVILLE — William Michael McGeorge, age 57, of Pineville, KY, passed away April 2, 2014. He was born December 3, 1956 in Pineville, KY to William Louis (Bill) McGeorge and the late Magdalene Hopkins McGeorge. He had worked as a Bell County 911 dispatcher, William was a member of the Bell County Rescue Squad, a member and previous fire Chief of the Bell County Fire Department and had retired as dispatcher for the Middlesboro Police Department and was a member of New Heights Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife Linda Sue Whitehead McGeorge; mother Magdalene Hopkins McGeorge; grandparents Delbert and Hazel Gambrel Hopkins; father-in-law John Whitehead and brother-in-law Staff Sargent Vernon Black

Survivors include his daughter Anastasia McGeorge Wheeler; father William Louis (Bill) McGeorge(Georgette) ; sisters Willene McGeorge Black, April McGeorge Golden (John) and Amy McGeorge Golden (Shane); mother-in-law Della Whitehead; special niece Claudia Black ; A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Services will be 7 PM Saturday April 5, 2014 at the Brooks-Durham Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Elkins; Honorary pallbearers will be Bell County Rescue Squad, Bell County Volunteer Fire Department, Bell County Sheriff Department, Bell County Dispatch, Pineville Police Department, Middlesboro Police Department, Pineville Fire Department and Middlesboro Fire Department.
